The main difficulty i'm facing at the moment is my word count. I'm fairly certain I'm already cutting it pretty slim (even with large parcels of text meticulously hidden in unsuspecting footnotes). I'm not sure how i'll overcome this - I already cut a huge section out of three of my arguments ( the part on the sheer criminality of the drug scene - an aspect I found really interesting... I might try to reincorporate it later). Also, I feel like I'm wasting a lot of time refuting the claims made by earlier historians. It's beginning to cut into the amount of time I can spend actually explaining how the histories have been modified and evaluating the reasons for the change.
I really want the whole project to become more succinct and I'm going to have to cut down on the descriptive language. Lastly, I'll have to prevent myself from going off on tangents - I really need to put every word to good use.
Hopefully, everything works out.
